Loft decal error

Dominik 4 weeks ago • updated by Vitaly Ovchinnikov 4 weeks ago 1

Hello.

I prepared a loft rectangle shape with 10 width and 7.5 lenght size. I also prepared JPG for decal with the same measures but when I try to place it, it doesn't fit in any method I try. I set "fit to image", I change sizes but it doesn't work. What do I do wrong? How can I fit decay so it is correct? I attached images to describe the problem.

Thank you in advance!

Dominik

Decals are "local" objects by their nature. Although you can try to wrap an object with them it is not a recommended way of using them. Decal is a sticker and you don't usually do full-wraps with stickers, don't you?

I would recommend to place your image as a side texture to your loft object instead. Here I did a quick test that looks pretty good for me:
