Thin hardcover book question

Hello,

I'm trying to layout a thin children's hardcover book. Trim size is 11 x 8.5 inches. When I add a 1/4 inch - 1/2 inch spine, I can't get it to wrap right. See below. I don't know how to spec my image file so that it will wrap correctly. The final book should be 11 x 8.5 for the front cover and about 1/4-1/2 inch thick spine. What am I missing?

Thanks!

Hello JP,

It is not clear from the screenshot what exactly is wrong there. Anyway, there are two ways you can put a cover on a book: a solid cover or front/spine/back mode, there is a switch for that at the right panel.

Give the latter option a try. You can put the same artwork to all three sides, then use "Crop texture" button to define the image parts for each side.

If it still doesn't work for you, please provide more details on what exactly goes wrong.

I'm not seeing anything on the right panel that allows a front/spine/back mode. Here are the three panel options I'm seeing below. Am I missing something? Thanks, JP

You need that "wrap cover image around" box, remove the check to get separate materials for front, spine and back

Here's what I'm seeing when the box is unchecked. No options appear. JP

You don't get extra options, you get extra materials. Look at the "Materials" tab at the right, you will see Front, Spine and Back there. You can assign the same image to all of them and then use "Crop texture" button to cut it in pieces
