Dieline Generator: Inside or Outside Dimensions?

Peter Radsliff 1 month ago updated by Vitaly Ovchinnikov 1 month ago 1

I have been given the inside dimensions needed for a FEFCO box. The box material is 36 pt. paperboard (i.e. 0.036 inches thickness). Question: when using the dieline generator, should I input the inside box dimensions, or the outside dimensions to produce the most accurate dieline? Need answer ASAP please.

Hello Peter,

At the moment, the generator uses "middle" dimensions and Origami adds half of the thickness to both inside and outside when makes the paper thick. We're working on a more flexible way to configure this aspect of the dielines, too.

Cheers!
