adjusting the cap diameter pharma bottle

todd 4 weeks ago updated by Vitaly Ovchinnikov 4 weeks ago 1

How do I adjust just the cap diameter, Ive done this in the past but can figure out how to do it. Bottle on left is an obj file I was trying to work with but I cant control the lighting on the label. I'm trying to get the cap diameter on the right bottle increased.

The cap diameter depends on the bottle neck diameter, so you need to adjust that in order to resize the cap. If this doesn't work well for you, you can always hide the cap and add it as another object (Boxshot has a standalone "cap" shape) and adjust it directly.

As for the lighting of the label in the OBJ file, it usually happens because of broken normals. You can try the latest beta version of Boxshot 5 https://boxshot.com/2019/09/27/boxshot-5-1.html that lets you re-compute normals in embedded model editor.

I would also switch the UV-wrapping off for the label on the left bottle to prevent wrapping artefacts currently visible.
