Renders looking washed out boxshot 5.1.4

todd 5 months ago updated by Vitaly Ovchinnikov 5 months ago 1

The render from boxshot is coming out very washed out. I have never had this issue.

The only change is I just switched to origami 3. I've adjusted the environment and sunlight intensity among other things and I cannot get rid of the washed out look. The left image is the origami render which is where the boxshot render should be.

So the left image is a screenshot of Origami, and the right one is the rendering result, correct?

Please check the texture exported by Origami if it is "washed" or not. If it is as saturated as in Origami, then we'll focus on the Boxshot part of the pipeline. If it is washed - we'll need the Illustrator project here for a test.

As for the Boxshot part, select the shape and then click "Crop Texture" button for the material with the artwork. The texture editor window will pop up - check if the image there is washed or not. If it is washed - that's the image importing problem and we need the image here, please.

If not - it is most likely lighting, have a look here: https://boxshot.com/boxshot/tutorials/advanced/lighting/ for more information. If it still doesn't help - send us the project with all the artwork, we'll have a look.
