Ability to save customized imposition settings, for different jobs, and ability to call saved settings from Tool bar as drop down.

IW has projects, you can save all the settings as a file, then open it again and simply replace the source PDF.

Acrobat version has presets accessible from the top left menu.
I strongly support this suggestion. This application is professionally priced, and almost each professional will have reoccurring usage scenarios which he will need to set up fast.
Vitaly,

unfortunately it's well hidden that IW has projects – I looked for such a feature, and only now, after you wrote that, I realized by unhiding the extension in the Save panel that "Save As" saves a project, not a PDF.

Now that I know that, yes, it is at least kind of a workaround, but it feels clumsy.

It's about settings for a class of jobs that share specific characteristics, but are independent from one specific PDF, so this just does not feel right GUI wise.

Also, I wouldn't like having to think about for each and every single project where in the file hierarchy to store this project.

I would much prefer an in-app list of layouts, automatically stored in ~/Library/Preferences/ or ~/Library/Application Support/. That would fit much better with the otherwise very good and Mac-like GUI.

Good point, thank you.
