floor shadow
I have just started using my upgrade from Boxshot 4 to Boxshot 5. However, I get some ugly shadows in the rendering to PNG. See attached photos where the difference is obvious. I need the image to blend into a white background with the 'box effect'. I have spend almost a whole day fiddling with the shadow settings. Is there anyway I can achieve the same clean shadow effect as in Boxshot 4. Thanks for creating a wonderful product! /Jan

Try this:
Also try different environment maps, see here for more details: https://boxshot.com/boxshot/tutorials/advanced/realistic-rendering/
I have again used several hours on the floor shadow. Even when I set the "spread" to 0%, the size of the shadow is much larger than in Boxshot 4. This entails that I must add too much white space around my file? The only solution seems to be to take away the shadow; and then I am better off with Boxshot 4. ???
Try a different environment map where most light is at the top, this should reduce the shadow. If this still doesn't work for you, you'd better stick with version 4.
